Programming and Coding: Year 5 are learning to program Pro bots to draw shapes and simple diagrams. To do this we are using our knowledge of coding, angles and are calculating distances.
Working Scientifically: For the past few weeks in science we have been investigating the question – “Will a waxy coating (Vaseline) keep the moisture of leaves and help them survive?” First we made a prediction of what we thought would happen to the leaves and then we got into our science groups. Secondly we put the waxy coating (Vaseline) on the leaves. We also picked two of the same leaves and put each leaf in 2 separate zip lock bags. Then we waited and put it on the windows. After a week we came back to the leaves to record our observations and draw an annotated diagram of the leaves. Antonia 5W
