At St Patrick’s the children participate in a variety of activities based on the Drama forms during their Creative and Practical Arts lessons. These include: Improvisation, Masks, Puppetry, Reader’s Theatre, Storytelling and Mime. Each lesson explores the Drama form and enables the children to learn skills associated and practice them in a fun and creative way.
The children work independently and in groups to practice their skills and prepare their performances. Their aim is to focus on the elements of drama such as space, mood, tone and dramatic tension through their performance.
